Dyve

“Although it took some convincing, I was able to get the permission of the High Druid to visit Druidhall. There is no better representation of the Dyve’s symbiotic relationship with nature than the city itself—almost grown more than built. I did have the honor of meeting one of the fae of legend and the experience was unlike any other. I can see why the Dyve and fae are so enchanted with one another.” - From the Journal of the Unnamed Traveler

Geography

Primarily a large deciduous forest known simply as The Great Forest, Dyve also has a large coastline that is often used.

Politics/Culture

Dyve is ruled by the Council of High Druids. Despite Glahier being the technical capital, the High Druids mainly gather in Druidhall at the heart of the Dyve Forest. Dyve people are very family oriented and tend to rule themselves in sort of clan or family hierarchy. There is not much of a central authority although grievances are brought to the High Druids when needed.

The Dyve culture revolves around the fae. They attribute the gifts of nature to the fae and thank them with music, song, and praise. The fae often respond with boons of magic—creating the druids of Dyve. There are other ways fae magic makes its way into the Dyve bloodline and such trends are traced by the iconic ‘fae-touched’ red hair.
